The Bebe Thuillier is an exquisite reproduction of a late 19th century heirloom collector doll crafted by the legendary Parisian doll maker Andre Thuillier. Authorized by Robert Capia, world-renowned collector and leading authority on antique heirloom dolls.
The Bebe Thuillier is as lovely from the back as she is from the front. From the shiny corkscrew curls cascading over her shoulders, to the soft velveteen bow at her waist , to the delicate lace-trimmed petticoat below her hemline.
Her beautiful face is authentically re-created in fine bisque porcelain and meticulously painted by hand to capture her gentle expression. Her soft blue glass eyes are meticulously hand set.
Her magnificent bonnet sewn of luxurious satin and point d'esprit lace over lush velveteen, is accented with a trio of delicate satin roses, lustrous faux pearls and floral lace appliqués. Her amazing dress is authentic in every detail to the Thuillier tradition, from the delicate panel of point d'esprit lace to the old fashioned tatting. Even her stockings and dainty little shoes , complete with satin ribbon roses, have been recreated to perfection. She comes with her original Certificate of Authenticity and a metal stand for displaying.
She measures aprox 19 1/2 tall. She is in mint condition, never having been removed from box.
