ROBERT CAPIA, a well known authority on antique dolls, authorized FRANKLIN MINT HEIRLOOM DOLLS to make reproductions of some of his antique dolls. These reproductions are called "The Robert Capia Antique Bride Dolls Collection", and Bebe Bru is one of them. "FHD" representing Franklin Heirloom Doll is inscribed into the porcelain in back of breastplate.

Porcelain hands and arms with porcelain feet and legs. Torso has a well crafted cloth stuffed body with armature for limited posing. She wears a magnificent Victorian ensemble of shimmering ivory satin. Drop waist wedding gown has satin skirting with petite floral lace edging.

Skirt overlayed with elegant Venetian lace embellished with faux pearls and sparkling sequins. Bodice overlayed with Venetian lace, and the yoke collar is highlighted with re-embroidered lace, pearls, and sequins. Puffed long sleeves of runched satin continues the elegance with iridescent faux pearls and petite lace trim.

Underclothes consist of slip with organza skirt with wide floral lace trim, satin pantalones with matching lace trim, and lace stockings. Wears ivory ribbon tie shoes embellished with rosettes and faux pearls. BEBE BRU BRIDE'S face has beautiful hand set blue GLASS EYES with handpainted feathered eyelashes and eyebrows true to the nature of the original antique doll. Her sweet face has softly blushed cheeks and lips.

She has brunette hair styled in layers of ringlets in a synthetic wig. Her unique bridal head piece is adorned with actual feather plumes and strings of lustrous faux pearls.

Satin roses embellish the front and back of the head piece with an attached cathedral veil of fine tulle netting. Pearled hat pin is included.
