With his knack for capturing the entire spectrum of human sentiment in his figures, Peter Strang, head sculptor, (born 1936, Dresden, Germany), consistently raises the artistic bar and continues to enchant with his unique figures... The works by Peter Strang are characterized by love to material porcelain and an impetuous desire to experiment.

This is the source of the power of his apparently inexhaustible inspiration.... Less than 130 figures were pre-ordered and The Meissen Factory destroyed all molds made by Peter Strang after the sole limited edition was completed.... The very limited - seated clown figure with traditional clown make-up and green hair, wearing a harlequin and pale mauve outfit, on an elevated quadrangular pedestal juggling five'Blue Onion' pattern plates, three clubs and two balls at his feet.. Stands approximately 10.5 inches (26.5cm) high... Back of the base has the blue ink crossed swords mark - on bottom incised 60460 and impressed 107 C...

Light signs of previous ownership and age needs to be taken into consideration - Very nice condition.. Peter Strang was born in Dresden in 1936.

He lives in Moritzburg, where he has had a studio for many years. From 1950 to 1954 he was trained as a modeler at the Meissen Porcelain Manufactory. From 1955 to 1960 he studied at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts, graduating as a sculptor. When the Meissen Porcelain Manufactory artists' group was founded in 1960, he was one of them.

After 1960, his figurative porcelain models became and remained significant for Meissen. Expressive murals are also part of his work. Even after his professional career in the manufactory, he was still fascinated by porcelain. Just re-package in its original packaging materials, box and insured (or similar in size)..

The items I sell are vintage, antique pieces and have been previously owned - these are not new store bought items... I also do my best to give detailed information on the vintage items. Keep in mind they are vintage (old) and will have flaws.

If item is damaged, SAVE ALL PACKAGING MATERIALS and BOX for photo taking.. Will need to send me all pictures to start the claim.. Once I received the proof (pictures requested) of damage, will automatically start the claim.
