Lot of 12 The Great Clipper Ships Fine Porcelain 1981 Collectible Set Nautical

This is an extraordinary set of 12 collectible Great Clipper Ships Signature Edition plates. They are the 1981 collection, made of Franklin fine porcelain. All plates are in mint or near-mint condition with no visible flaws. There is one small fleck of possible paint loss on the "Flying Cloud" plate, though this is the only noticeable spot of wear on the set. Each plate is a different unique nautical scene, and each is labeled on the back with the title of the portrait and the design attributions/artist name.

This set includes the plates entitled. Marco Polo, Challenge, Patriarch, Flying Cloud, Thermopylae, Nightingale, Cutty Sark, Ariel, Great Republic, Red Jacket, Sea-Witch, and Oriental. Each plate measures 9 inches in diameter.
