Franklin Mint LORELEI OF COUNTY LIMERICK & BABY LEIGH Dolls Musical RARE

Offered here is Lorelei and her baby daughter Leigh. This 20 finely crafted bisque porcelain doll is made for Franklin Mint. Her name is Lorelei of County Limerick and she is a Musical Doll that plays "An Irish Lullaby-Too-Ra-Loo-Ra-Loo-Ra" with a turn key on her back which is working.

She represents an Emerald Isle beauty, dressed in a Victorian Period costume embellished with embroidery. She has a one piece head/neck plate in porcelain and her hands and feet are porcelain. She has lovely green glass eyes and real upper eyelashes. Her cheekbones are blushed with just a hint of color and she has carefully sculptured lips.

Lorelei has beautiful long red hair. She wears a two piece, dark green suit with panels of floral that are accented in golden threads. Her jacket is a floral material edged in green and gold trim. She has fantastic rose vine embroidery down the front of her skirt and on the back of her dress. The skirt puffs out and is gathered in places with roses, ribbons and gold pearls.

Her matching hat compliments her eyes and has feathers to accent. She has delicate fingers and has a gold ring on her right hand, middle finger. The skirt is edged in folds of green satin-like material and the entire skirt is created in large circular swirls, which can be seen in the photos. The back of her jacket tailors down over her skirt. Underneath, she has on black leather high Victorian boots.

She wears cream nylons and long cream Victorian underwear. She also has on a stiff white petticoat.

And dressed in a beautiful delicate pink gown with lace and tiny roses. She does have a small crack and chip on the back of her head. The dolls come with all the original paperwork and original box.
