Franklin Mint Gibson Girl Boudoir Doll 23 inches high (approx)

First of all and most important, the fur on these garments is NOT REAL. It is a polyester knitting yarn brushed to look like fur. The doll, so far as I know, does not have a name.

My little granddaughter has called her Lady Rosalind because she reminds her of a family member. However, when I saw her I thought immediately of the Queen of the Night from the Mozart opera The Magic Flute. She even has a mirror as an accessory.

Her dress and cloak are made from high quality yarn with a shiny black thread added to the burgundy main colour. Her petticoat and pantaloons are black with a lurex thread. The lace used is top quality guipure lace with some metallic and knitting in lace. On the hem of her cloak is a lovely handmade Indonesian bead.

It has taken several months to design and knit her complete outfit. Her outfit is totally unique and made only for her. She no longer fits into the original Franklin box.
