Made of delicate porcelain and crafted in fine detail, these stunning sculptures were designed by artist Brian Hargreaves for the Franklin Mint and were made in Taiwan in limited quantities. They are a real collector's item and the perfect gift for the butterfly lover in your life! Each is completely unique and detailed enough to look almost real. They are all approximately 2.5"-3" high and 2.5 long.
They are difficult to find in a large set. Most sellers offer each one separately or in small sets.
I believe the Franklin Mint offered them in 2 sets: 15 Butterflies of the World and 12 Butterflies of Paradise. This set includes 19 of those 27.Except for the Glassy Wing, the butterflies each come with certificates of authenticity which are neatly contained in a case designed for the purpose. The certificates have descriptions of habitat, habits, etc.
There are 19 butterflies included with this lot. Gaudy Commodore (broken into two pieces, clean break). They are all in excellent condition except for the Gaudy Commodore butterfly, which has a clean break at the point where the butterfly meets the flower. Please examine the photos carefully.
These are very delicate little works of art. I will make every effort to insure they arrive at your door safely. They will each be wrapped in tissue paper and double layers of bubble wrap then placed into individual 4 x 4 boxes.
I don't do auctions and I don't accept best offers. Thank you for your interest!
