Available exclusively through Franklin Heirloom Dolls when first manufactured, this Queen Victorian doll was inspired using design and detail based on a nineteenth century fashion plate in the permanent collection of The Victoria and Albert Museum in London, England. From this rare collaboration between the Franklin Mint and the Museum comes a doll of extraordinary quality and uniqueness. The hand-detailed Victorian bridal gown is made of taffeta and embroidered lace; the double-hooped petticoat holds the skirt of the gown open to its fullest; the floor-length bridal veil of ivory tulle emerges from a pure silk floral headpiece trimmed with faux pearls; and the bouquet of silk sweetheart roses is of a traditional style for brides of the era.
