This beautiful clock is a reproduction produced by the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. This clock is modeled after the Sevres Lyre clock, which was originally produced in France in the 18th and 19th centuries.
This museum replica of the famous Marie Antoinette clock from the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. Table clock made of porcelain with cobalt blue glaze, roman dial, and gilded ornaments. Top of clock features gilt sun king. Face of clock surrounded by faux diamonds.
Bottom of clock reads: "V&A The Victoria & Albert Museum Marie-Antoinette Clock Fine Porcelain FM". It has a lively double bell strike.
It rings once on the 1/2 hour & counts each hour. Dimensions: 15.25"H x 6.5"W x 4D. NOTE: Overall Excellent vintage condition no apparent nicks, dents, cracks. I only see one slight scratch on rear cover.
Simply change time by gently moving minute hand forward. Must unscrew back brass cover to adjust speed (if required).
It probably could use a cleaning and oiling although is currently in working condition. PLEASE feel free to ask questions!
