Since all monitors/phones do not have the same settings, the pictures may not show the true color. This 1990 "The Lost Star Princess" fine porcelain figurine is from The Franklin Mint. This item is a beautifully detailed fine porcelain figurine. A long time ago, when the world was still young, and gods, demi-gods and humans alike roamed the earth, there were seven sisters, the daughters of Atlas and Pleione.
As beautiful as they were kind, the seven girls -- Electra, Maia, Merope, Alcyone, Taygete, Sterope and Celaeno -- loved each other and their parents greatly, and grew into seven beautiful maidens. Placed in the heavens by Zeus, the king of the gods, the seven sisters were transformed into a cluster of sparkling stars, amid the constellation Taurus. Three in their heavenly home they have forever guided humanity in its wanderings on the earth.
Even today the constellation shines brightly. But only six stars can be seen. Our maiden, the lost princess, unlike her sisters who have found divine mates, had fallen in love with a mortal. But on her return to the heavens, she could not find her sisters.
Destined to wander the universe forever, she searches for her six sisters, streaking across the skies in a flash of brilliant light. "The Lost Star Princess" sculpture captures all the ethereal beauty of the one sister whose starlight is dimmed in the heavens. Bedecked in sparkling stars and flowing gown, she continually scans the deep blue skies, her violet eyes always alert, seeking her beloved sisters from whom she is forever separated.House of Faberge - Since the days of the Russian Czars, when Peter Carl Faberge created some of the most exquisite objects d'art for prestigious members of royalty, the name Faberge has been synonymous with beauty and elegance. Today, the House of Faberge continues to be known for its beautiful gems, objects d'art and fine works in porcelain and crystal.

Exclusively for The Franklin Mint.
