My Mother was the Original owner. There is no other Collection like this available ANYWHERE on the internet.
These Dolls have never been opened from their original packaging. Be the first person to see them in nearly 40 years! This Set Includes: All New in Original Boxes. Dorothy and Toto (in basket).
The Wicked Witch of the West. Each Doll comes with its own Original 1986 Booklet, All Tags and All Wrappings. Each has its own set of Accessories - Hats, Basket, Crown, Axe, etc. I started to open the box for the Tin Man (or rather, "Jack Haley as The Tin Man"). But I couldn't bring myself to disturb the Dolls after 40 years.So, please don't hold it against me, but there are plenty of pictures. And, one more interesting thing, Franklin Heirloom Dolls verses Franklin Mint Dolls. The Boxes for this Collection clearly say, "Franklin Heirloom Dolls". A little research on this topic gained me this (which I previously did not know). As the company grew in popularity over the following decades, it added more items to its product line, including collectible plates, figurines, and dolls.
Today, the dolls created by Franklin Mint are highly valued for their exquisite craftsmanship, classic designs, and historically-themed outfits. Franklin Mint is best remembered for its special edition "Heirloom" doll series, including the Gibson Girl Collection, The Wizard of Oz Collection and the Princess Diana Collection. Today, Franklin Mint no longer produces new items.
However, the company still sells many older collectibles, including Franklin Mint dolls that have been in circulation for decades. Lastly, my mother made me promise her before she passed in 2013 that I would sell these dolls, from her VAST collection, to someone who will love them as much as she did. And that is why they are here for sale. The name says it all -- "MomsGotStuff".
