1982 FRANKLIN MINT Collection VICTORIAN FLOWER GARDEN Mini EGGS W/ Stand. Set of 12 gorgeous vintage porcelain enameled miniature eggs individually hand decorated with lovely flowers and 24 carat gold accents.
The eggs are from the "Victorian Flower Garden Miniature Egg Collection" by Franklin Mint. They were designed by master miniaturist Margaret Elaine Ryder (1908 - 1998), a leading member of the Royal Society of Miniature Painters, Sculptors and Gravers. The collection was a limited edition issued in 1982. It is extremely rare to find the entire collection still intact, with wooden stand and glass cloche covering included. I believe - please correct me if I'm wrong!- the flowers depicted include the Buttercup / Ranunculus, Pansy, Forget-Me-Not, Snowbells, Lilacs, Fuchsia (Dark Eyes), Nasturtium, Clematis, and some for which I can't even hazard a guess.. Please note that the last photo is not mine - stock photo from the googles ;- - used to show configuration without the glare of glass!
This would make a beautiful and elegant gift for Easter, or for anyone who enjoys decorating their home for holidays or holiday gatherings! The eggs measure approximately 1.5 (4 cm) tall. They are decorated with the flowers on the front and back and 24k gold accents on the sides, top, and bottom. This collection is in excellent pre-owned condition. There are minute scuffs, but nothing very visible. The wooden stand shows a few blemishes.
All my items are from a clean, non-smoking, and cat-free home. Flaws will be noted and photographed. I'm happy to answer any questions or take any additional photos you may need to make a purchasing decision - please message me!
