Franklin Mint Gemstone Art Doll vintage 1980 restored Peridot 14 inch porcelain

Fantasy Gemstone porcelain doll-- Peridot, from Franklin Mint, made in the 1980s. This lovely porcelain doll wears a gown designed and handmade by Baltimore Opera and Minnesota Ballet costumer, Claudia Myers. She represents the semi-precious gemstone, Peridot.

Her iridescent green sheath gown has an overlay of embroidered silk organza with flowers in yellow and orange which also covers one sleeve. Her over-skirt is trimmed with satin ribbons and embroidered flowers that also trim her bodice. She wears a tiny real peridot stone on a chain around her neck. A bright green fascinator hat finishes off her ensemble. The green sheath underdress and plain satin overskirt are original.

She comes with a doll stand and arrives in a sizable box packed in tissue and bubble-wrap. I also have restored seven other Gemstone dolls and will be listing them over the next few days.

They are: Aquamarine, Pearl, Amethyst, Tourmaline, Blue Topaz, Ruby and Topaz.
